KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Westport champagne bar announced on Friday that it will close – for now.
Ça Va, located at 4149 Pennsylvania Avenue, said in a Facebook post that New Year’s Day will be its last day of service.
“As the pandemic continues to flare up, it has become clear that this path is best for the safety of our community and the future of our business,” the post said. “We are hopeful that with careful planning, hard work, and maybe even a little federal assistance… we will be able to join you again for a glass in the spring.”
Howard Hanna, Caitlin Corcoran and Jim Coley own the establishment. Hanna also serves as its chef, while Coley is its wine director.
