KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Another Kansas City restaurant announced it will close its doors this month.
Poi-ō, which serves wood-fired chicken, will close on Nov. 28, the restaurant said in a Facebook post on Friday.
“It has been a privilege and honor to have served you,” the post said. “We hope to see new and old faces between now and our closing date.”
The restaurant, at 1000 W. 25th St., also said to “stay tuned” for updates on new ventures.
Poi-ō did not give a reason for the closure, but the COVID-19 pandemic has caused a number of Kansas City restaurants to shut down.
On Thursday, the popular Gojo Japanese Steakhouse in Old Westport said that it had closed permanently, citing the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.
