WHAT TO WATCH FOR:
- If someone makes a point about streaming versus traditional film, after all the Martin Scorsese stuff. Could even be a big running joke for Gervais all night. (Taylor)
- Best Director is going to be tough. Will they give it to Martin Scorsese for his so-called "masterpiece?" Quentin Tarantino for a movie we all loved in "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood"? Bong Joon-ho for one of the best films of the year, "Parasite?" Todd Phillips for "Joker," the billion-dollar film? Or Sam Mendes for "1917," a truly visionary movie? I just don't know. (Sarah)
- Yikes, tough year to choose! There could be upsets in either Best Actor in a Motion Picture category. Also, can't wait to see what Ricky Gervais has up his sleeve this year. (Justin)
