Occidental Management has closed a deal to purchase the Sprint campus in Overland Park.

OMI, a Wichita-based commercial real estate development company, posted a celebratory photo announcing the purchase Tuesday afternoon on its Facebook page.

“Congratulations to the OMI team!” the post said. “Today, we closed the deal on purchasing the Sprint headquarters in Overland Park, KS. It has been a long journey and a tremendous team effort. Great job team!!”

The campus consists of 17 buildings and its sale comes as the Department of Justice continues to consider a possible merger between Sprint and fellow wireless carrier T-Mobile.

Financial terms of the deal, which was announced in March, were not announced.

Sprint, which already had started leasing some buildings to other businesses before the sale was announced, will continue to occupy from several buildings.
