KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A woman is charged with killing a man Saturday night after beating him with a shovel and running over him with a Cadillac.
Sasha Waloke, 32, is charged in Jackson County Court with second-degree murder, first-degree assault and two counts of armed criminal action.
The incident began just after 7 p.m. on April 25 near East 30th and York streets in Kansas City, Missouri.
A woman told police she walked outside her house to tell her son to come home for dinner, according to a court document.
The woman said she saw a man and woman arguing and the woman picked up a shovel, the court documents states.
Waloke hit the victim, Larry Green, in the head. She then got into a black Cadillac and repeatedly ran over Green with the car, the court document states.
The woman told police she counted 21 times Waloke ran over Green.
Waloke also tried to run over the woman, but she managed to avoid being run over.
Other witnesses told police similar stories of Waloke hitting Green with a shovel and running over him with the car.
Police found Green, 68, dead in the street.
Officers arrested Waloke near the scene and found the car's key fob and car insurance papers that belonged to Green, the court document states.
The black Cadillac used to run over Green had an "LGREEN" license plate.
Court documents said Waloke appeared impaired and mumbled incoherently after her arrest.
