KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A woman crossing U.S. 40 near Hocker Road in a wheelchair Saturday died after being hit by a car.
A Honda was heading west on the highway as the woman was crossing the multi-lane road, according to the Kansas City, Missouri, Police Department.
The 51-year-old woman died on the scene.
The driver of the Honda stopped and provided information to investigators. The driver was later released at the scene.
