A 19-year-old woman suffered life-threatening injuries after being shot at a large house party in the 4500 block of Elmwood Street early Sunday morning.
Police were called to the scene around 2 a.m.
A large group of people were reportedly at the house when the woman was shot.
She was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Authorities on the scene previously stated the woman had died from her injuries, but now say she is still alive.

Jamil Jackson, who was in the area of Elmwood during the time of the shooting, said he heard the gunshots.
“I don't know what happened,” he explained. “I came from outside and the police were here saying 'Don't go to your car!’”
Jackson said he didn’t realize how serious the situation was at first.
“We thought it was fireworks,” said Jackson. “Everybody just got down. I got down with them."
Police said many of the people at the party likely came after their high school prom.

She said her mother woke up overnight to sounds from the party and gunshots.
“There was a commotion outside and lots of yelling,” explained Bradley, whose mother lives a few doors down from where the party happened. “So she looked out and saw kids running and screaming. Then she said she heard gunfire."
Bradley said her mother has lived on Elmwood for around 20 years. The shooting has obviously led to some concerns.
“This is a good neighborhood,” she said. “It's surprising to me that something like that would happen."
Police have not released the victim’s name.
On Sunday afternoon, police said they were continuing to gather facts while talking with witnesses.
Investigators have not released information regarding any suspects.
