KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- UPDATE 4:30 PM 3/2/2018: Eight children were hurt in a wreck Friday afternoon involving a school bus.
First responders were called out on the wreck between a school bus and at least one other car around 2:30 p.m. near 23rd Street and Van Brunt Boulevard. The bus was full of 29 students from East High School.
Police dispatchers tell 41 Action News eight children on the bus suffered minor injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital. The bus is operated by First Student.
Video from SKYTRACKER showed a red station wagon with front-end damage in the street. The bus came to rest on the sidewalk.

The intersection remains blocked off while police investigate the cause of the wreck.
