KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Everyone in Chiefs Kingdom was caught up in the excitement of Wednesday's Super Bowl parade, including children.
Some Chiefs fans waited decades for the victory celebration. Some, however, only had to wait a few years.
One fan, 10-year-old Tristan Soto, was excited to see some of his favorite players.
“I have three favorite players. Four actually," Tristan said. "Chris Jones, Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and Tyreek Hill."
And he has reasons to back up all of his choices.
"Hill because he’s the fastest. Mahomes, he never gives up," Tristan said. "Last time he got hurt he still played for his team. Kelce, he doesn’t get mad when Chiefs lose. And Chris Jones, he helps the Chiefs a lot. From getting interceptions to blocking."
Adrian Vilegas, another young fan, was happy to see his favorite player, Tyrann Mathieu.
"He’s just a good player and he just has a good heart," Adrian said.
Young fans like Tristan sum up the reason many people are excited for the team's future.
“We have a good quarterback, good receivers and how good our team is overall," he said.
