KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Northland shopping complex is expected to undergo a multi-million dollar redevelopment beginning this fall.
Zona Rosa, located off of Interstate 29 and Northwest Barry Road, will have new outdoor green spaces and public art, among other amenities, according to a news release.
Local artists' work will be featured at the 1.1 million square foot shopping center.
“Our goal is to make Zona Rosa the central hub of the Northland by creating an amenity rich environment to enhance the overall experience for our customers, tenants and community that goes beyond what a traditional shopping center offers,” Scott Zigler, Zona Rosa’s general manager, said in the release.
Developer Trademark Property Company is leading the project, which is anticipated to be complete by spring 2021.
