Cerner employees to work remotely

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Cerner employees who can work remotely will do so beginning March 16, according to a news release.

Employees are currently expected to return “on-site” March 30. Cerner’s COVID-19 Task Force will “reassess the weeks following and could extend based on the situation,” according to to Cerner.

“Offices will remain open for associates whose work requires being physically present,” according to a statement on Cerner’s website, “and Cerner is implementing social distancing strategies to help reduce the risk of exposure.”

Cerner is the second-largest employer in the Kansas City metro.
