Kansas City: The City of Fountains
Kansas City has long been known as the the City of Fountains, with 200 of the beautiful springs spread across the metro. The first among them were erected as drinking fountains for horses, dogs and birds, according to the City of Fountains Foundation, but soon were built as spouting cornerstones for the city’s first parks.
