BONNER SPRINGS, Kan. — For an experience that offers both adventure and scenic views, you don't have to look too far outside of Kansas City.
Zip KC, located only 31 miles from Kansas City in Bonner Springs, offers five zip line tours that are designed for different experiences and views along the bluffs of the Kansas River.
The 41 Action News One Tank Trip crew went on the ultimate zip line adventure tour. It begins with a hike and a zip. Throughout the experience, nine zip lines provide a bird's-eye view of the Kansas River, with five of the lines reaching speeds up to 50 miles per hour.
Zip KC also offers activities on the ground, such as obstacle courses and team building activities.
The three-hour ultimate adventure tour costs $99. Anyone between 70 and 275 pounds can participate. Children must have an adult or guardian present or have a waiver filled out in advance.
