UPDATE: According to police, the 3-year-old boy has now been reunited with a family member.

At approximately 4 p.m. on Sunday, a boy believed to be 3 years old was found near 43rd Street and Northern Avenue.
Officers have been unable to locate the child's parents or guardians. The child appeared to be familiar with the area near the apartments, but was unable to point out a specific apartment or building.
The child is described as a black male who says he is 3 years old. He said his name is "Silas" or "Cyrus,” but does not know his last name. He has braids and is wearing a grey polo shirt with stripes.
Anyone who knows "Silas" or "Cyrus", or his parents or guardians are asked to call the Kansas City Police Department at 816-234-5111.
