KANSAS CITY, Mo. – There are no ties in baseball, but there are apparently ties in political polls for U.S. Senate.
An NBC News/Marist poll released Tuesday shows incumbent Democratic Sen. Claire McCaskill getting 47 percent support among likely voters in her general election contest against Republican challenger Josh Hawley.
Hawley is getting an identical 47 percent support, with five percent of those polled remaining undecided.
The poll results are in line with recent polling showing the two candidates within the margin of error, according to Real Clear Politics.
