Amazon broke ground on yet another fulfillment center in Kansas. This one is located in Kansas, City Kansas.

The company says the center will create more than 1,000 full-time jobs when it’s fully operational sometime in 2017.

"Not just unemployment, but full employment. We talk a lot about the unemployed, but we need to talk about the underemployed," said Mayor Mark Holland. "Not only have full-time jobs with benefits, but teaching the job skills and the ongoing educational opportunities for a career both within Amazon and even beyond Amazon."

This location will pack and ship smaller items such as books, electronics and toys.

Kansas Governor Sam Brownback and KCK Mayor Mark Holland attended groundbreaking.

This will be the second Kansas location Amazon has broke ground on this year. Another fulfillment center in Edgerton is also expected to create 1,000 full-time positions when it's completed.

Amazon is already operating a facility in Lenexa.
