Homicide investigation underway after city workers find body in KCK

KCK police are working a homicide investigation after a body was found near 46th Street and Leavenworth Road Monday morning.

According to authorities, city lawn mowers found the body of a white male in his 30s lying in a wooded area around 8:30 a.m. Monday.   

The victim has been identified as Joshua Bush, 38, of KCMO. Officials say Bush died from a gunshot wound.

This incident remains under investigation by the Kansas City, Kansas Police Department’s Major Case Unit, who is encouraging anyone with information to call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS (8477).
