Overland Park Fire Training Center held a simulation training for firefighters on how to make a rescue in a school bus crash.
Firefighters cut into a school bus donated by Durham School Bus Services to rescue the bus driver who was trapped in the simulation.
They had 30 minutes to make the rescue, and they did it in 20 minutes.
Training instructor Chris Angermuller said firefighters now feel more comfortable and confident if they have to respond to a school bus emergency.
Video of the simulation will be used to train other firefighters.
