OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Overland Park police are investigating a shooting at 133rd and Hemlock as a road rage incident.

They said the incident began at a stoplight at the intersection, where the victim was found in a light-colored Chevrolet Malibu.

Police said they have critical injuries from two gunshot wounds, one to their neck and one to their lower body.

The suspect was found in a dark-colored Chevrolet Camaro at 133rd and Antioch. They are in custody.

Some workers at nearby businesses, like Teal Mareska at Spanky's Cuts for Men, thought police were responding to a crash.

"Then we found out we got a phone call from our boss to make sure we were OK. And our boss said lock the front door and back just to make sure — they didn't know if the shooter had been found," Mareska said.
