SoJo Summerfest is getting ready to bring back its charitable donation music festival. The event is happening on Friday, June 17 and Saturday, June 18 at Corporate Woods Founders Park in Overland Park.

“First and foremost, the mission of SoJo Summerfest is to raise a significant amount of money for the four local children’s charities we’ve partnered with as beneficiaries this year,” said Marc Shaffer, chair of the inaugural SoJo Summerfest. “To that end, all net proceeds raised on site during the festival will go directly to our charitable partners and support children in need around the greater Kansas City area.”

This free event is organized by the Overland Park South Rotary Club. SoJo Summerfest has historically raised more than $1.5 million in donations for local nonprofits. Now in its 27th year, the festival will donate all of its proceeds to:
  • Operation Breakthrough
  • Sunflower House
  • Growing Futures Early Education Center
  • Future of Hope Foundation
