More than 100 brave ladies at St. Thomas Aquinas High School cut their hair Friday for a great cause.
The students cut their hair for Wigs Out. The hair will be sent out to make free wigs for women and children who have lost their hair as they fight cancer.
And for some of the girls, the event was personal.
"My very close friend Mona has breast cancer, so I wanted to do it for her," said one student through tears.
The school has donated about 600 feet of hair to the Strike Out Breast Cancer foundation.
