Independence police are investigating what appears to be a social media threat against William Chrisman High School.

A screenshot of a Snapchat post showing guns and threatening William Chrisman High School has been circulating on Facebook.

The Independence School District said the district and school leaders have been working closely with police and “the situation has been addressed.”

Independence Police also confirmed they are investigating the threat.
