A staple in the Raytown community caught fire Thursday night.
Heavy smoke was seen coming out of Clark's Appliances around 10 p.m.
People stopped to take pictures and expressed their shock on social media.
A cause is unknown, and there were no reports of injuries.
Residents have relied on Clark's for almost 60 years. The store is family-owned and operated. They repair and service laundry and kitchen appliances.
