Police are investigating after three separate gunshot incidents resulted in damage to houses in Olathe, Kansas. No one was injured.

Officers responded to a complaint of hearing gunshots at 3:50 a.m. on June 27 in the 900 block of North Jan-Mar Drive. Bullet holes were found in a bedroom window and in the front of the residence.

"I heard a loud bang. It sounded like a firecracker or a bunch of plates breaking," said Marcus Perez who lives in the home.

At 6:45 a.m. the same day, police responded to another incident in the 300 block of North Blake Street after a resident found small caliber bullet holes outside of the house and in the window. The resident also reported hearing gunshots around 2:00 a.m.

The third incident occurred the next day, back to the 900 block of North Jan-Mar, after reports of gunshots being heard. The owner of the residence was unaware that the home had been shot at, but found bullet holes in the front of the house.

"I heard gunshots and I was like, 'Ok this is getting out of hand if it's happening all over again,'" said Jacob Mcelroy who lives across the street.

Detectives say they believe the two residences are related and not random.

"We currently have somebody that we need to talk with to maybe help us out with the case and give us some additional information that may bring this case to an end," said Olathe Police Department Sgt. Bryan Hill.

On Wednesday, July 6, Johnson County prosecutors charged Donavin Fletcher, 19, of Olathe, Kansas, on two counts of discharging a gun in an occupied dwelling; one count of obstructing an apprehension; one count of fleeing a law enforcement officer; and one count of obstructing legal process.

Fletcher remains in the Johnson County, Kansas jail on a $150,000 bond. He will next appear in court on July 14.
