The Douglas County Sheriff's Office recovered what is believed to be the body of 18-year-old Cameron Kirchner, according to a news release.
Around 3 p.m. Wednesday, divers recovered a body from Douglas County State Fishing Lake. The sheriff's office is waiting for confirmation from the coroner's office on the identity of the body, but it is believed to be Kirchner.
A 17-year-old and Kirchner were in a boat when it capsized Saturday night, according to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office. Only the 17-year-old, who police are not naming, managed to make it to shore. An official said that the teens weren't wearing floatation vests when the boat capsized.
A search began around 10 p.m. that night but they were unable to find the teen. Crews continued their efforts until a team discovered a body on Wednesday.
The boat the teens were in was recovered by divers on Monday.
