KANSAS CITY, Mo. — On Tuesday, embattled Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens announced that he is resigning from office amid various allegations of wrongdoing.
Immediately following his first state of the state address, St. Louis TV station KMOV published a story complaining that Greitens had an affair with his hairdresser in 2015 and also took a compromising photo of her to use as blackmail. Greitens admitted to the affair and apologized but denied the blackmail allegations.
In the weeks after that news broke, accusations surfaced that Greitens used a donor list from his non-profit, The Mission Continues, to aid his campaign for governor.
