ST LOUIS - Less than a week after a St. Louis City Grand Jury levied charges against Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens, parties in the case met Monday to hash out next steps in the case.
Prosecutors, Greitens’ defense team and a judge met to set a trial date. The trial could happen as quickly as mid-May, though no date was officially set.
Prosecutors told the judge that date may be too soon, as additional charges are possible. Instead, they’re focused on a trial date starting late summer or early fall of 2018.
The parties will meet again Tuesday to confirm a date.
