SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – An American Airlines flight from Dallas to Kansas City diverted to Springfield-Branson National Airport Thursday morning after reporting flight control problems.
American Flight 970 took off from Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport just before 9:30 a.m.
While en route, the pilot radioed in problems with flight control systems and diverted to Springfield.
The plane, an MD-82, landed without incident just after 10:30 a.m.
A Springfield airport spokesperson told local NBC affiliate KYTV the airport and airline were working to get 112 passengers to their final destination.
