Two suspects were taken into custody following a high speed chase that crossed county lines into St. Joseph, Mo.
According to KQ2, officers initially received a domestic disturbance call from the National Guard Armory. Officers witnessed a male assaulting a woman.
The man forced the woman into the vehicle, which fled after law enforcement attempted to stop the vehicle.
Speeds esculated between 80-90 miles per hour. The chase concluded on St. Joseph Ave near the Burger King.
Law enforcement officials say during the chase, two individuals inside the vehicle switched seats. The female was discovered behind the wheel when the chase concluded.
Both individuals were taken into custody.
The St. Joseph Police Department and Missouri State Highway Patrol were assisted by several agencies in the chase.
