Neighbor2Neighbor prepares Christmas giveaways for adults, children facing homelessness

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Neighbor2Neighbor in Kansas City, Missouri, is preparing for a major Christmas Eve giveaway that will help people experiencing homelessness.

Their plan is to serve about 100 adults and 30 children.

For the past two years, Neighbor2Neighbor joined forces with the Lions Clubs and the Phillipino Nurses Association to provide a breakfast and health fair, but because of COVID-19, things look a little different this year.

Neighbor2Neighbor partnered with the Kansas City World Outreach Lions Club and the Raytown Lions Club to give away gift bags including food, gloves, a winter scarf, socks and a mask on Christmas Day.

Children will also receive toys, coloring books, crayons and gloves.

Neighbor2Neighbor set up a Go Fund Me with a $5,000 goal to help raise money for the holiday giveaway,

The giveaway will take place at Neighbor2Neighbor, 3551 Wabash Ave., Kansas City, MO, 64109, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
