KANSAS CITY, Mo. — After delays, the Economic Development Corporation of Kansas City said Friday it will begin accepting loan applications from small business owners seeking relief.
In April, the Kansas City, Missouri, City Council approved spending $500,000 to fund the Kansas City Small Business Relief Loan Fund.
However, procedural issues prevented any businesses from receiving any of the funding despite more than 600 loan requests.
More information about business requirements, loan terms and the application process is available on the EDCKC website.
“Through our LoanUP program, our team has experience and expertise providing loans to businesses that have had challenges working with traditional banks,” EDCKC President and CEO T’Risa McCord said Friday in a news release. “We intend to help them through this time.”
