KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Pharmacy technician Jordan Campbell loves working in the community where she grew up.
She said she helps with at least a couple hundred prescriptions per day - and that is just part of her job.
“Day to day we help a lot of patients, which is my favorite part about the job,” Campbell said.
CVS Health wants to hire at least 350 people for their pharmacies and clinics in the Kansas City area. Of those openings, 250 are for pharmacy technicians with opportunities ranging from full-time to part-time and temporary with the potential to become permanent.
Even if you have never worked in health care, CVS Pharmacy District Leader Nate Burrell said the company will provide training.
“Come in as long as you have great service skills, a great attitude, and a desire to learn, you can become a really good pharmacy technician," he said.
You do have to register as a pharmacy technician in both Kansas and Missouri. Burrell said CVS Health can help you apply if you are offered a job.
CVS Health is also hiring dozens of pharmacists as well as licensed practical nurses, registered nurses and nurse practitioners.
