KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Chiefs are Super Bowl champs. It wasn’t a dream, Kansas City.
Led by Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes, coach Andy Reid’s squad rallied from a 10-point deficit in the fourth quarter to defeat the San Francisco 49ers 31-20 on Sunday in Super Bowl LIV at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida.
It was the franchise’s first Super Bowl championship in 50 years.
And it touched off arguably the biggest party in Kansas City history — one that will continue Wednesday, weather permitting, with the Chiefs Kingdom Champions Parade.
Listen as "4th & 1" podcast co-hosts Tod Palmer and Nick Jacobs react to the game, the win and a comeback that will resonate with Chiefs fans for decades to come.
If Las Vegas is right, it may be the first of many titles and parades for Kansas City.
