KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The reigning Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs have found a variety of ways to win games during the first half of the Run It Back Tour.

Led by quarterback Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City sits at 7-1 with one more game — a noon kickoff Sunday against the Carolina Panthers — before the bye week.

Under first-year coach Matt Rhule, Carolina has been a pleasant surprise and more competitive than many expected through the first half of the 2020 season.

After an 0-2 start, the Panthers rattled off wins against the Chargers, Cardinals and Falcons before playing well in losses to the Bears and Saints.

But coming off a loss to Atlanta, “4th & 1” podcast analyst Nick Jacobs expects Carolina quarterback to struggle against a tricky Kansas City defense.

Jacobs and host Tod Palmer explain why Sunday’s game — even with star running back Christian McCaffrey’s return — should be such a difficult matchup for the Panthers in the latest episode of “4th & 1.”
