COLUMBIA, Mo. — The Eli Drinkwitz era is off to a slow start in Columbia.
Head coach Nick Saban and the No. 2 ranked Alabama Crimson Tide led wire-to-wire Saturday at Memorial Stadium, gaining 414 yards of total offense en route to a 38-19 victory.
The Tide’s offensive front dominated the trenches, clearing the way for 7.8 yards per Alabama play, while also preventing a sack.

Shawn Robinson assumed the role of starting quarterback for the Tigers, completing 19 of 25 passes for 185 yards and a touchdown. Redshirt freshman Connor Bazelak saw two drives under center, completing two passes for seven yards.
Alabama redshirt junior quarterback Mac Jones shined, completing 18 of 24 passes for 249 yards and two TDs.
Senior captain Larry Roundtree produced Mizzou’s best offensive output on a modest day, earning 67 yards on 14 carries.
Missouri travels to Knoxville Saturday, Oct. 3 for a matchup against the Tennesee Volunteers.
