Baker quarterback breaks school records against Peru State

Posted

It was a banner day for the Baker Wildcats. They put up 65 points Saturday (Sept. 30).

Former Blue Valley quarterback now Baker quarterback Logan Brettell broke the all-time school record for career passing yards.

Brettell also set a new record for longest scoring play in the game.

"I just give credit to the offense that we're in, you know," Brettell said.  "We have a great offensive coordinator in Jake Morse and he calls a great game every week and puts me in positions to be this successful. So, I'd like to take credit for it but I just can't."

"He keeps putting his name in the record books," said head coach Mike Grossner. "The young man deserves it. He works hard. He's a practice player. He makes sure everything's perfect going into a game for himself and his teammates. Great leadership from him. And then, he continues to make big plays."
