As we approach Opening Day, let's look back on the night that had every Kansas City Royals fan cheering.
The win in New York
On Nov. 1, 2015, with a third strike in the 12th inning, the Royals beat the New York Mets to become the 2015 World Series champions.
After the win, 41 Action News caught up with Royals management and players about the World Series win.
41 Action News sports reporter Dee Jackson spoke with actor and KC-area native Paul Rudd. He was in the clubhouse celebrating with the team. Rudd shared what this win means for the city.

Back home in Kansas City, fans at the Power and Light District chanted waiting for the boys in blue to bring it home.
Fans rushed to Rally House to get the World Series championship gear.
