Chiefs activate 4 in roster moves before final regular season game

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City Chiefs have one more regular season game left, and ahead of their match up against the Los Angeles Chargers Sunday, KC made a flurry of roster moves Saturday afternoon.

The Chiefs activated quarterback Matt Moore and guard Patrick Omameh from the practice squad via standard elevation.

This season, the NFL allows two players to be elevated on game day, making a team's roster on Sunday a total of 55 players. Those elevated will return to the practice squad on Monday.

Moore will now back up Chad Henne, who will start in place of Patrick Mahomes while the Supr Bowl MVP gets rest week 17.

In addition, defensive back Deandre Baker has been activated from the practice squad as a COVID-19 replacement, while starting linebacker Anthony Hitchens remains on the COVID-19/Reserve list.

The Super Bowl Champs' last activation was wide receiver Gehrig Dieter ,who was activated from the practice squad. Lastly, Kansas City announced that they have waived tight end Ricky Seals-Jones. Seals-Jones joined KC during the offseason on a one-year deal. The veteran only appeared in two games this season, dropping his lone target of the year.
