KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City Chiefs will have a new outside linebackers coach next season. On Friday, the Green Bay Packers announced the team hired Mike Smith to the same position.

Smith spent three seasons in Kansas City. Before serving outside linebackers coach for one year, he worked as assistant defensive line coach for two years.

Earlier this week, the Chiefs fired defensive coordinator Bob Sutton. Just days later, the team hired Steve Spagnuolo to replace him.
