KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Just when we thought Patrick Mahomes could do it all, Wednesday he said there's a few things he'd like to take from Cam Newton.

“I wish I could do some of the things that he does as far as how physical he is and the way he's able to make plays happen," said Patrick Mahomes.

As the Kansas City Chiefs prepare for a Netwon led New England Patriots team, Mahomes hopes his defense comes out like they did against the Baltimore Ravens on Monday Night Football.

“He's a great football player and he's in a great spot now and he's playing really good football. I think it’s going to be a great challenge to go up against his team, knowing that they're going to be able to really move the football," said Patrick Mahomes.

As the saying goes, "practice like you play," that was head coach Andy Reid's emphasis to his team this week.

“They’re a heck of a football team and they’re as well coached as anybody in the National Football League on both sides of the ball and special teams. They’re tough and aggressive and well-schooled, so we’ve got to make sure we have a good week of practice," Reid said.

As Reid and Bill Belichick are set for another go around, the Patriots have a tall task ahead of them, and they know it.

"Yeah, I mean, they're pretty good at everything. They've got a great quarterback and a pretty experienced offensive line, great play caller and good skill players." Belichick said. "The skill players are hard to tackle, they're good guys with the ball in their hands, they can also get down the field and good route runners."

After two weeks on the road, playing in front of no fans, the Chiefs are excited to be back at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday.
