KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City Chiefs fans might have seen the last this year of running back Darrel Williams.
After suffering a hamstring injury during last Sunday’s win against the Oakland Raiders, the team said Thursday that Williams has been placed on injured reserve, ending his 2019 season.
The move comes less than two days after the team signed former running back Spencer Ware back to the club.
As part of Thursday’s announcement, the team said DB Alex Brown was promoted to the 53-man roster from the practice squad, and WR Gehrig Dieter was signed to the practice squad.
