KANSAS CITY, Mo. — For some, NFL dreams will come to a screeching halt this weekend.
Teams must trim rosters down to 53 players by close of business Saturday, putting difficult decisions in front of the Chiefs’ brain-trust of GM Brett Veach and Head Coach Andy Reid.
“This is a pretty good football team,” Reid told the media Friday. “If you don’t make it here, doesn’t mean you can’t make it somewhere else.”

Reid admitted the unique-ness of not having a 2020 NFL Preseason schedule impacted how fringe players were evaluated.
“It’s tough to tell someone that’s busted their tail for you for a number of weeks that it’s not going to work out,” he added. “But you want to take that and turn it into a positive so that they have something they can work towards.”
