KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Chiefs added to their Super Bowl-winning team through the NFL Draft from Thursday to Saturday. On Sunday they added to it with undrafted free agents.
Among the 18 UDFAs who signed with Kansas City was Vanderbilt wide receiver Kalija Lipscomb who was invited to the NFL Combine but did not hear his name called in the Draft.
The Chiefs signed six UDFA receivers. The team nabbed three cornerbacks as well including Javaris Davis from Auburn.
Daryl Williams was another player invited to the NFL Combine that did not get drafted. He's a center from Mississippi State now headed to Kansas City.
Locally, offensive tackle Yasir Durant from Missouri and Tershawn Wharton from Missouri S&T signed free agent contracts with the Chiefs.
