KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City Chiefs will play on Monday night for the second straight week after the NFL reportedly rescheduled the postponed game with the New England Patriots following a new round of tests among players, which showed no additional positive tests for COVID-19.
The game, which was originally scheduled for 3:25 p.m. on Sunday, was postponed Saturday after both teams reported players with positive COVID-19 tests, including Patriots starting quarterback Cam Newton and Chiefs practice squad quarterback Joran Ta'amu.
With no new positive cases among a new round of tests Sunday morning, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that the NFL has given the green light for the two teams to play on Monday. The NFL confirmed the change in a news release issued Sunday afternoon.
Kickoff is scheduled for 6:05 p.m. and the game can be seen on CBS.
Tickets that had been purchased for Sunday's game will be honored on Monday. Parking gates will open at 3:30 p.m., and stadium gates will open at 4:30 p.m.
Patriots-Chiefs will kick off at 7:05 ET with full telecast on Monday night on CBS; Falcons-Packers kicks off at 8:50 et, per source.

The regularly scheduled Monday Night Football game on ESPN, Atlanta at Green Bay, will kick off at 7:50 p.m., according to Schefter.
Newton, who was signed in the offseason to replace Tom Brady after he left for Tampa, will not be available after being placing on the Patriots COVID-19/reserve list. Veteran backup Brian Hoyer is expected to start in Newton place.
