KANSAS CITY, Mo. — If you thought waiting around for Michael Porter Jr. to make his college decision was excruciating, Mizzou fans have had double the anxiety wondering when he would finally return from injury.
Well, they might have their answer.
"If he feels good from the standpoint of going through it (practice)," said head coach Cuonzo Martin.
Friday will be Porter's third practice since being cleared for all basketball activities.
Since then, the Tigers have played two games and gone 1-1. Their final regular season game is Saturday at home against Arkansas.
"He knows he's not going to be at that level just from a conditioning standpoint, but as long as he feels good, I think that's the first thing and then we go from there," said Martin.
Porter has missed all but the first two minutes of the season with a back injury. Without him, the Tigers have positioned themselves for an NCAA Tournament berth.
A win over the Razorbacks would go a long way toward meeting that goal.
