KANSAS CITY, Mo. — After a visit to his doctor Thursday, basketball standout Michael Porter Jr. has been cleared for all basketball activities, according to a report by CBS Sports' Jon Rothstein.

Porter Jr. had been working out with the team and warming up before games, but Tigers hadn't seen him in action since the first minutes of the season's opening game.

Porter Jr. was widely regarded as the #1 recruit in the Class of 2017. And despite his absence, sites like www.nbadraft.net still project him as the #3 overall pick in this year's NBA Draft.

That kind of future has made people around college basketball skeptical as to whether or not Porter Jr. should even attempt to return to the college game. Missouri will have men's basketball availability Friday in Columbia when we should know more about Michael's status.

The Tigers play at Kentucky on Saturday and are currently tied for third in the SEC.
