From the practice facility to JCPenney, Chiefs Tight End Travis Kelce surprised 50 local children on a Christmas shopping spree.
The children from the YMCA of Greater Kansas City couldn’t stop cheering or smiling when they saw Travis Kelce.
“I mean it’s a blessing, it’s crazy,” said Coco Drane, one teenager who was apart of the shopping spree.

Each of the 50 kids received a $100 gift card from JCPenney.
They could spend the money however they chose.
“I think it helps a lot of hearts, everybody has a smile on their face when they are shopping,’ said Erik Cleveland, who was looking to buy a gift for his mom and dad.

Kelce helped the kids shop, encouraging them to buy for others.
“I’m here to get them to understand the holidays are not about getting gifts for yourself, although we do love getting things for ourselves, we have to give back to the people around us,” Kelce said. “It’s all about the loving spirit of the holidays and being able to give back to the people that make you happy.”
