Kansas City Chiefs Safety Eric Berry won Best Comeback Athlete award at the ESPY Awards Wednesday night.

During his acceptance speech, Berry talked about honor and legacy.

“I’m not accepting this award for me. I’m accepting it for all the fighters out there,” Berry said. “Regardless of what your circumstance is, regardless of what your diagnosis is, keep pushing and always remember honor and legacy, baby. And you can push through it.”

Berry was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma in 2014. He made the push to get back immediately.

Berry returned to the Chiefs last season and later made the Pro Bowl team.
