KANSAS CITY, Mo. — It’s no secret that Kansas City loves Patrick Mahomes — and the feeling is mutual, he says.
Ahead of Super Bowl LIV, Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes told media on Wednesday that he was drawn to Kansas City because of “the people.”
“Just the people and how they accept you, how they care about you more as a person than they do as a player, and how much passion they have for the Kansas City Chiefs, it’s special,” Mahomes said. “It’s somewhere where I want to be for the rest of my career.”
Mahomes and the Chiefs are working to bring Kansas City its first Super Bowl victory in 50 years. The Chiefs take on the San Francisco 49ers in the Super Bowl at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday.
