SURPRISE, Ariz. — Kansas City Royals outfielder/designated hitter Jorge Soler holds the club record for home runs in a season.
In 2019, Soler put up 48 home runs and looks to improve his hitting for 2020.
Through his translator Luis Perez, Soler said he wants to strikeout less and is prepared for whatever the pitchers might throw.
“He’s ready,” Perez said. “That’s their business, if they’re going to pitch him different.”
Last year’s franchise record-setting performance earned Soler a one-year deal with $7.3 million.
